Abstract

The article gives the results of the representations of the research held at the Journalism Faculty of MSU about the place and role of journalism in society that are guided by the main actors of the information field in modern Russia such as the media community, the authorities and the media. Due to the hypothesis, there are some differences in the views of the actors that lead to inconsistencies that exacerbate the situation in the information field. The article stresses that only united efforts of society will be able to optimize the situation.
