The material is based on the presentation made during the International Scientific and Practical conference "Journalism in 2016: Creativity, Profession, Industry", which took place on 7-8 February 2017 on the Faculty of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Abstract

The authors pay attention to the role of modern mass media in the creation of the real world's image and in the construction of space-time models. To the authors' opinion, the disorientation of a man in the information space is connected to the distortion of the media chronotope (the "fixer" of the reality perception) by mass media.
